Who you are
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechanisms, ideally with 3-5 years of experience in designing and prototyping electromechanical systems. Your expertise includes using tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed designs and specifications. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with test pilots, flight control engineers, and software engineers to ensure that your designs meet rigorous safety and performance standards.
You are hands-on and enjoy being involved in the full lifecycle of mechanical components, from initial concept through to testing and implementation. Your problem-solving skills allow you to tackle complex design challenges effectively, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You understand the importance of adhering to industry standards and regulations, particularly in the aerospace sector.
Desirable
Experience with flight control systems or aviation-related projects is a plus. Familiarity with certification processes for aircraft components will set you apart. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your design capabilities and improve product outcomes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing electromechanical actuators and control stick assemblies for various aircraft models. You will collaborate with a diverse team to define design criteria and develop solutions that enhance the safety and usability of flight controls. Your work will directly contribute to the development of Skyryse's innovative flight management systems, which aim to simplify and enhance the flying experience.
You will engage in hands-on testing of your designs, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. This includes working closely with test pilots to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to your designs. You will also be involved in the analysis of manufacturing processes to ensure that your designs can be produced efficiently and effectively.
