You have a deep understanding of Redshift and are confident in operating and owning critical applications and infrastructure. Your expertise in Kubernetes, Python, and SQL allows you to effectively manage complex data systems and ensure their reliability and performance at scale.

You have a proven track record of working with large-scale data systems, processing millions of events daily. Your experience enables you to gather complex data and turn it into actionable insights, collaborating closely with data professionals and stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making. You are passionate about simplifying document management and enhancing productivity through effective data solutions.

Desirable

Experience with similar scale systems and a strong understanding of data ingestion pipelines will set you apart. Familiarity with dbt transformation layers and document analytics is a plus, as is a commitment to an inclusive and equitable hiring process.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer at Smallpdf, you will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable ingestion pipelines that support the company's data stack. You will ensure that the Redshift warehouse performs consistently at scale, delivering high-quality data into the dbt transformation layer. Your role will involve collaborating with experienced data professionals to gather complex data and turn it into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

You will own the systems that expose data back to the business, ensuring that stakeholders have access to the information they need to make informed decisions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of document management solutions used by millions worldwide.
