Job Description
Who you are
You are a motivated individual with a strong background in accounting, capable of building interpersonal relationships both within and outside the Accounting department. You have a solid understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet accounting, and you are familiar with the management of monthly close and consolidation processes. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams is essential for success in this role.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively interact with various stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, which helps you tackle challenging technical accounting topics. Your experience in accounting will enable you to contribute significantly to the Corporate Accounting team at Smartsheet.
What you'll do
As a Senior Accountant, you will support the monthly close and consolidation process, which includes preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. You will work closely with other accounting and tax teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Your role will involve analyzing financial data and providing insights to help drive business decisions. You will also be responsible for maintaining high visibility within the overall accounting organization and contributing to various technical accounting projects.
