Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, with a strong focus on data transformation and analytics systems. Your background includes leading the architecture and implementation of data solutions, ensuring data accessibility and usability for various stakeholders. You are proficient in Snowflake and understand the importance of data governance and documentation in analytics processes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with BI analysts and data scientists to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You possess a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and have experience in building scalable data pipelines. Your technical skills include proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data visualization tools. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights that can impact business outcomes. You are also comfortable mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of learning within the team.

Desirable

Experience with other data warehousing solutions or ETL tools is a plus. Familiarity with machine learning concepts and practices can enhance your contributions to the team. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can improve data processes and analytics capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the implementation of efficient and scalable systems that optimize data transformations from our data lake in Snowflake into clean, documented data products. You will contribute to the design standards and architectural principles that guide our analytics engineering efforts. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accessible and actionable for various business units. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of our analytics systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.

You will work closely with BI analysts to understand their data needs and ensure that the analytics systems meet those requirements. Your role will involve building and maintaining a governed analytics environment that supports data democratization across the organization. You will also be responsible for documenting processes and standards to ensure consistency and reliability in our data products.
