With over 5 years of experience, you have a proven track record of leveraging data to drive product development and optimize user experiences. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey key insights to stakeholders across Product, UX, and Engineering teams. Your curiosity drives you to explore data deeply, uncovering insights that can influence strategic decisions and enhance user engagement.

You have a solid understanding of customer needs and can design metrics that analyze product usage effectively. Your technical skills include proficiency in Python and SQL, enabling you to manipulate and analyze large datasets efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to execute on opportunities that drive tangible impact.

Desirable

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and user experience design principles will enhance your ability to contribute to product optimization efforts. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration.

What you'll do

In this role, you will leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to inform product development and drive key performance metrics such as user acquisition, engagement, retention, and growth. You will partner with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand their goals and execute on opportunities to draw relevant insights. Your analyses will guide decision-making processes, helping to shape the future of Smartsheet's product offerings.

You will be responsible for creating predictive and prescriptive insights that influence product strategies. By analyzing user behavior and engagement patterns, you will identify areas for improvement and optimization. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with Smartsheet's tools, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with various teams to ensure that insights are actionable and aligned with business objectives. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior data scientists, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
