Security Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have 7+ years of software or infrastructure development experience, preferably in a cloud environment, and a passion for writing code to solve problems. Your strong background in languages such as Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, and C demonstrates your technical expertise. You possess knowledge of common bugs or misconfigurations in software and cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, and Azure. Your strong communication skills enable you to work cross-functionally across the organization, and you have a continuously learning mindset with a desire to explore a wide range of security domains.

Desirable

Experience in Offensive Security is a plus, but not required for this role. You are eager to dive into various security domains and contribute to building a Red Team that has a wide scope and impact.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop tools, methodologies, and infrastructure to support Red Team engagements across diverse cloud environments and novel platforms. You will participate in red team engagements, identifying vulnerabilities in software, systems, and networks. Setting the scope, objectives, and timelines for these engagements will be part of your responsibilities, as well as leveraging data to create useful metrics. You will collaborate with security and engineering teams to communicate findings, recommendations, and knowledge to key stakeholders, playing a critical role in enhancing the security posture of Snowflake.
