Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in cybersecurity, particularly in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you are well-versed in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in various environments, including web applications and networks. Your expertise in tools such as Burp Suite and Nmap allows you to conduct thorough assessments and provide actionable insights to clients.
You understand the importance of threat intelligence and how it applies to penetration testing. Your knowledge of OWASP standards and methodologies enables you to effectively evaluate application security and recommend improvements. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, engaging with clients to understand their security needs and providing tailored solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support Sophos by applying your information security expertise to identify vulnerabilities within client environments. You will conduct web application penetration testing and API testing, ensuring that security measures are robust and effective. Additionally, you will perform network security assessments, including external and internal penetration tests, to evaluate the security posture of client systems.
You will also engage in Red Team Testing, simulating cyberattacks to assess the effectiveness of security measures and response capabilities. Your findings will be documented in detailed reports, providing clients with insights into their security vulnerabilities and recommendations for remediation. You will collaborate with other security professionals to enhance the overall security strategy of Sophos and its clients.
