Who you are

You have extensive experience in penetration testing, with a strong focus on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in various environments. Your expertise lies in either application security, including web application penetration testing and API testing, or network security, where you conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests. You are familiar with tools like Burp Suite and OWASP, and you understand the methodologies behind effective penetration testing.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with clients to understand their security needs and providing actionable insights to improve their security posture. Your analytical skills allow you to assess complex systems and identify potential weaknesses that could be exploited by malicious actors. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for staying updated on the latest security threats and trends.

Desirable

While you may not be experienced in both application and network security, having knowledge in both areas is a plus. You are also encouraged to have certifications related to penetration testing or information security, which would further validate your expertise in the field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support the Sophos Group by applying your information security threat intelligence to identify vulnerabilities within client environments. You will conduct penetration tests, focusing on either application security or network security, depending on your area of expertise. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed reports on your findings, providing recommendations for remediation, and assisting clients in implementing security measures to mitigate risks.

You will collaborate with other security professionals and stakeholders to ensure that security assessments are thorough and align with industry best practices. Your role will also involve staying current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities, allowing you to provide clients with the most relevant and effective security solutions.
