SpaceX is hiring an Accountant for their International team to manage financial reporting and compliance for Starlink subsidiaries. You'll prepare journal entries and support tax compliance efforts. This role requires experience in international accounting.

Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting, particularly in international contexts, and are familiar with U.S. GAAP. You understand the complexities of financial reporting for multinational operations and have experience in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Your attention to detail ensures that all financial information is accurate and timely, and you are comfortable working with local service providers to coordinate statutory filings.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively partner with various stakeholders, including tax teams and local service providers. You are proactive in identifying compliance needs and have a solid understanding of international tax regulations, including VAT/GST. Your analytical mindset helps you navigate foreign currency conversions and intercompany transactions with ease.
What you'll do
As an Accountant at SpaceX, you will participate in the accounting close process, ensuring that all monthly financial information for Starlink subsidiaries is reported accurately and on time. You will prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals, while also managing reserves and intercompany transactions. Your role will involve supporting the tax team and local service providers to meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs, including VAT/GST.
You will collaborate closely with local service providers to review and coordinate international statutory filings, bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining proper accounting practices across different jurisdictions, particularly for African countries where Starlink operates. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all financial processes align with SpaceX's mission to provide reliable internet services globally.
