Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in digital signal processing and experience in developing communication systems — your expertise allows you to design and validate complex RF sensors that are crucial for spacecraft operations. You are comfortable working with FPGA technology and understand the intricacies of system-level and link-level design, ensuring that all components function seamlessly together.
You thrive in collaborative environments — working across disciplines with RF/antenna, FPGA, and software engineers is second nature to you. You possess the ability to develop both floating-point and fixed-point models, running simulations to analyze and validate overall system performance, including modem performance. Your attention to detail ensures that you support FPGA designers with bit-accurate and cycle-accurate RTL verification, contributing to the success of the team.
You take ownership of your work — from concept to orbit, you are dedicated to delivering high-quality results that meet the ambitious goals of SpaceX. What you'll do
As a DSP Engineer on the Starship RF team, you will be responsible for system-level and link-level design in support of spacecraft communications and sensing systems. You will collaborate closely with RF/antenna, FPGA, and software engineers to design and validate communication systems that are critical for the success of SpaceX missions.
Your role will involve developing floating-point and fixed-point models, running simulations to analyze and validate overall system performance, including modem performance. You will support FPGA designers by providing bit-accurate and cycle-accurate RTL verification, ensuring that all components meet the rigorous standards required for space applications.
You will own the end-to-end results of your products, from initial concept through to deployment in space. This includes working on innovative solutions that enable new vehicle capabilities, contributing to the development of technologies that will take humanity to the Moon and Mars.
