Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in digital signal processing (DSP) and RF engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing algorithms for sensor data processing. Your expertise includes working with FPGA technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions in fast-paced environments. You are comfortable researching novel solutions for large-scale RF sensing systems and have a proven track record of driving program-level decisions.
You possess a deep understanding of sensor firmware and software design, and you thrive in collaborative settings where you can work closely with hardware engineers and end users. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively makes you a valuable team member. You are passionate about contributing to projects that have a significant impact on national security and global connectivity.
Desirable
Experience with satellite communication systems or government projects is a plus. Familiarity with machine learning techniques for signal processing would be beneficial. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies that can enhance system performance.
What you'll do
As a Senior DSP Engineer on the Starshield satellite team, you will be responsible for designing and testing algorithms for both on-orbit and ground-based sensor data processing. You will collaborate with FPGA, RF/antenna, and software engineers to ensure the successful design and validation of RF sensing systems. Your role will involve driving program-level decisions that influence the direction of sensor firmware and software designs.
You will engage in research to identify and implement novel solutions for large-scale RF sensing systems, contributing to the overall mission of providing global connectivity to the US government. Your work will require you to iterate rapidly on designs and prototypes, ensuring that the systems meet operational capabilities at a fast pace.
You will also participate in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and updates on your projects while collaborating with other engineers to solve complex problems. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Starshield program, enabling critical intelligence and national security data access anywhere it is needed.
