You hold a Bachelorβs degree in electrical engineering and have at least 1 year of experience in power converter development. You are passionate about space technology and eager to contribute to the mission of making humanity multi-planetary. Your background includes expertise in designing, analyzing, and testing DC-DC power converters for harsh environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative power electronics hardware. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of electrical power system design trades and verification testing. You are motivated by challenges and excited to be part of a fast-moving team that is revolutionizing space travel.
What you'll do
As a Power Systems Engineer on the Starship Avionics team, you will provide engineering expertise in the design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters. You will work on electrical power system and sub-system level design trades, developing requirements that meet the rigorous demands of space environments. Your responsibilities will include defining and performing electrical power system verification testing and analysis, ensuring that all systems meet the necessary specifications for reliability and performance. You will collaborate closely with design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware that will be used in SpaceX's groundbreaking missions. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of technologies that enable human life on Mars.
