Who you are
You have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all flight hardware meets SpaceX specifications and standards. You are familiar with standard gauges and inspection tools, and you understand the importance of accuracy in quality assurance processes. Your ability to document non-conformance material and support corrective actions is crucial in maintaining high-quality standards. You are willing to travel up to 20% of the time to perform inspections at supplier sites, demonstrating your commitment to quality across the supply chain.
Desirable
Experience with programming and setting up inspection tools such as Articulating Arms or CMM is a plus. Familiarity with engineering drawings and industry standards will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in supporting the development of inspection plans and have a collaborative mindset to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
What you'll do
As a Dimensional Inspector at SpaceX, you will select and utilize standard gauges to ensure the quality of mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials. You will perform inspections based on engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
