SpaceX is hiring a Quality Inspector to ensure mission success through in-process and end-of-line inspections of rocket valves. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge rocket technology in Hawthorne, CA.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to quality assurance in manufacturing processes. You understand the importance of being the last line of defense in ensuring mission success, and you thrive in a hands-on environment where you can work with advanced rocket technology. Your ability to interpret detailed drawings and CAD models allows you to verify conformance to design requirements effectively. You are proactive in documenting production and test anomalies, ensuring that all quality-related issues are communicated and resolved efficiently.

You possess a strong understanding of manufacturing compliance, particularly in relation to NASA and customer specifications. Your experience in quality inspection or a related field equips you with the skills necessary to evaluate manufacturing processes critically. You are a team player who collaborates effectively with engineering teams to assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions when non-conforming products are identified. Your technical knowledge and observational skills enable you to offer guidance and serve as a valuable resource to your colleagues.

What you'll do

As a Quality Inspector at SpaceX, you will perform in-process and end-of-line inspections on flight hardware, ensuring that all key performance and design characteristics are met or exceeded. You will utilize detailed drawings and CAD models to verify that manufacturing processes align with established specifications. Your role will involve documenting any production and test anomalies according to prescribed procedures, which is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards.

You will communicate quality-related issues effectively, collaborating with various teams across SpaceX locations to resolve these challenges. Your responsibilities will also include processing non-conforming products and assisting engineering teams in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. By routinely observing technical operations, you will provide guidance and serve as an additional technical resource, contributing to the overall success of the quality inspection team.
