SpaceX is hiring a Test Technician (Composites) to ensure the timely and safe operation of structural test stand equipment. You'll collaborate with engineers and maintain high-pressure systems in Hawthorne, CA.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of experience in a technical role. Your background includes maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and you are comfortable working with high-pressure systems and pumps. You have a strong attention to detail, ensuring that all components and materials meet safety standards for oxygen service. You are proactive in collaborating with engineers to develop and document testing activities, and you possess the ability to fabricate and repair structural hardware as needed.
What you'll do
As a Test Technician (Composites) at SpaceX, you will be responsible for ensuring that all structural test stand related equipment and services are performed on time and in a professional manner. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation, ensuring that all engine components and materials are clean and inspected according to safety standards. You will operate and maintain hardware, high-pressure systems, and pumps, while also developing novel ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability of testing operations. Additionally, you will monitor and maintain an inventory of cryogenic equipment and spare parts, preparing test articles and systems for operations.
