SpaceX is hiring a Test Technician (Composites) for their 2nd shift to maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment. You'll collaborate with engineers and ensure all structural test stand operations are performed safely and efficiently.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of experience in a technical role, ideally related to testing or maintenance. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring safety and quality in all operations. Your ability to collaborate with engineers and document activities effectively is essential for success in this role. You are comfortable working with high-pressure systems and have a strong understanding of structural hardware and test equipment. You are proactive in maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for testing operations. You are eager to develop novel ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability of testing operations.
What you'll do
As a Test Technician (Composites) at SpaceX, you will be responsible for ensuring that all structural test stand related equipment and services are performed on time and in a professional manner. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed, collaborating closely with engineers to develop and document activities. Your role will involve fabricating and repairing structural hardware and test equipment, ensuring that all engine components and materials are clean and inspected according to clean for oxygen service standards. You will operate and maintain hardware, high-pressure systems, and pumps, as well as monitor and maintain an inventory of cryogenic equipment and spare parts. Additionally, you will process work orders and maintenance tickets, preparing test articles and systems for test operations.
