Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in hardware design engineering, particularly in electrical systems, and have a strong background in developing complex electronic systems. Your expertise includes working with high-speed digital communications and analog systems, and you are comfortable with the entire life-cycle of hardware development from concept to production. You possess a deep understanding of RF engineering principles and have experience with power electronics, ensuring that your designs meet stringent performance and reliability standards.
You are proficient in PCB layout and schematic capture, having overseen multiple projects that required meticulous attention to detail and adherence to industry standards. Your troubleshooting skills are top-notch, allowing you to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during the design and testing phases. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate hardware with other system components.
Desirable
Experience with satellite systems or telecommunications is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory standards for electronic devices. You are also knowledgeable about the latest advancements in antenna technology and network system integration, which will enhance your contributions to the Starlink project.
What you'll do
As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at SpaceX, you will take ownership of the electrical design for the Starlink satellite systems. Your role will involve designing and developing hardware that supports high-speed data transmission and reliable connectivity for users worldwide. You will work on system design, schematic capture, and PCB layout oversight, ensuring that all components function seamlessly together.
