Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in ASIC design and development, with a strong background in hardware engineering. Your expertise includes working with FPGAs and ASICs, and you are familiar with the challenges of designing for space applications. You are proactive and intellectually curious, always seeking to push the boundaries of technology. You thrive in cross-disciplinary teams, collaborating with systems, firmware, architecture, and validation engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

You possess a deep understanding of digital design principles and have experience with simulation and verification methodologies. Your ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions sets you apart. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering results that have a meaningful impact on global connectivity.

Desirable

Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis is a plus. Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and methodologies will enhance your contributions to the team. A background in aerospace or telecommunications can provide valuable context for your work at SpaceX.

What you'll do

As a Senior ASIC Design Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for developing next-generation FPGAs and ASICs that are deployed in both space and ground infrastructures. You will collaborate with a team of world-class engineers to design, build, and test these critical components that enable connectivity in previously underserved areas. Your role will involve defining specifications, conducting design reviews, and ensuring that all designs meet rigorous performance and reliability standards.

You will engage in the full design cycle, from initial concept through to production, ensuring that your designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and debugging hardware issues, working closely with validation teams to ensure that all systems function as intended. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of the Starlink system, helping to provide fast and reliable internet to millions of users worldwide.
