Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in ground support equipment, with experience in designing and activating mechanical and fluid systems. Your creativity and technical skills enable you to rapidly develop solutions that meet the rigorous demands of space launch operations. You are proficient in using hand calculations and advanced software tools like AutoCAD and FEA to ensure that all hardware meets or exceeds requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable serving as a technical interface to customers and suppliers.
Desirable
Experience with aerospace systems or similar high-stakes environments is a plus. Familiarity with launch site operations and vehicle processing will help you excel in this role. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for space exploration will set you apart.
What you'll do
As a Launch Engineer, you will design, build, and activate equipment that supports all aspects of launch site vehicle processing and launch. This includes working on structural, tooling, fixtures, fluids, and transport equipment. You will support Stage 1, Stage 2, Fairing, and payload operations, focusing on vehicle interface tooling for structural and fluid connections. Your role will involve leading design reviews and activation testing, ensuring that all systems are ready for flight. You will monitor and participate in ground system build and test activities, working hands-on in the field alongside skilled technicians.
