Who you are

You have experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You are skilled in performing repair and preventative maintenance tasks on various transport and lift equipment, including trucks, trailers, and cranes. You can read and interpret technical schematics and documentation, allowing you to diagnose and repair operational issues effectively. You are comfortable using various mechanical hand and machine tools without instruction and have experience fabricating or sourcing spare parts for repairs. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with a team of technicians, specialists, and engineers to minimize downtime and support ambitious goals in space exploration.

Desirable

Experience with specialized machinery used in aerospace or similar industries is a plus. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a high-stakes environment will enhance your candidacy. You are proactive in identifying potential issues before they arise and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of specialized machinery and equipment used in the safe and efficient handling, lifting, and transportation of flight hardware. You will perform repair and preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for a variety of transport and lift equipment. You will diagnose and repair operational issues in the field, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. You will read and interpret technical schematics and documentation, allowing you to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. You will work cooperatively with a team of technicians, specialists, and engineers to minimize downtime and support SpaceX’s ambitious goals in space exploration.
