Who you are

You have experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician, specifically with CNC machinery, and possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Your background includes hands-on troubleshooting and repair of complex CNC machines, including 5-axis milling and lathe applications. You are skilled in preventative maintenance and understand the importance of keeping machinery in optimal operating condition. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at critical thinking to resolve unique equipment issues quickly. Your familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and various hydraulic and pneumatic systems makes you a valuable asset to any maintenance team.

Desirable

Experience with a wide variety of machine configurations and OEMs is a plus, as is a background in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environments. You may also have certifications related to CNC maintenance or electrical systems, which would further enhance your qualifications for this role.

What you'll do

As a Machine Maintenance Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all CNC assets to ensure their proper operating condition. You will provide preventative and corrective maintenance on various complex CNC machines, including 5-axis milling and mill-turn applications. Your role will involve troubleshooting and repairing control and electrical system failures, which may include working with PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, and servo amplifiers. Additionally, you will address issues related to hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters. You will also be tasked with diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems, such as ball screws and linear rails, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and effectively.
