What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the inspection processes for the Starship project, ensuring that all components meet stringent quality standards. You will determine the most effective inspection methods to maximize throughput and minimize downtime, working closely with production teams to implement these strategies. Your responsibilities will include evaluating current inspection processes and identifying opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency. You will also maintain close communication with design engineers to provide feedback on manufacturability and inspectability, ensuring that new designs are optimized for production.

You will lead efforts to streamline the inspection workflow, reducing cycle times from defect detection to manufacturing updates. Your role will involve analyzing inspection data to identify trends and areas for improvement, allowing you to make data-driven decisions that enhance overall production quality. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians in best practices for inspection and quality assurance.
