Who you are
You have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, particularly in machining inspection, with a focus on optimizing processes for efficiency and reliability. Your experience includes working closely with design and production teams to ensure that inspection methods are effective and enhance manufacturability. You are skilled in utilizing various inspection tools and methods, such as CMMs and manual inspection techniques, to maintain high standards of quality in production. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at maintaining tight feedback loops between engineering and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement.

Experience with automation in inspection processes is a plus, as you understand the importance of maximizing machine uptime and reducing part stagnation. What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of the inspection processes for the Starship project, ensuring that all components meet stringent quality standards. You will determine the most effective inspection methods to maximize throughput and minimize downtime, working closely with production teams to implement these strategies. Your responsibilities will include evaluating current inspection processes and identifying opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency. You will lead efforts to streamline the inspection workflow, reducing cycle times from defect detection to manufacturing updates.
