You have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies. You possess hands-on experience with AutoCAD and other design tools, enabling you to create and modify engineering drawings effectively. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to troubleshoot complex hardware issues efficiently. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about contributing to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

You have experience working with RF vacuum electronics or similar technologies, giving you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in this field. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams ensures that you can communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results that meet stringent performance standards.

What you'll do

As a Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX, you will take full ownership of the hardware associated with the Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of the TWT amplifiers, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of the Starlink system. You will work closely with design engineers to provide feedback on manufacturability and assist in the development of new manufacturing processes that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

You will be involved in the testing and validation of the TWT amplifiers, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. Your role will require you to develop and implement manufacturing plans that align with project timelines and quality standards. You will also collaborate with suppliers to ensure that components meet specifications and are delivered on time.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation within the manufacturing process. You will document your findings and share best practices with the team, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
