SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their Supply Chain team at Starbase, TX. You'll support the Starship program by solving technical challenges and enabling supplier success. This role requires expertise in manufacturing engineering and quality tools.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and quality tools, with practical experience in manufacturing engineering and new product development through to stabilized production for various fabrication processes. You possess a broad understanding of propulsion and fluid system component fabrication, including extrusions, draw forming, welded and seamless tubing, cutting, and assembly. Your motivation to enable suppliers for success aligns with SpaceX's mission to explore the stars. You are ready to take on new challenges in unfamiliar areas, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and excellence.
What you'll do
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies of the rocket. You will be responsible for solving emergent challenges at suppliers and mitigating risks to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Your role will involve collaborating closely with suppliers to enhance their capabilities and ensure they meet SpaceX's demanding requirements. You will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your technical expertise to drive efficiency and quality in manufacturing processes. Your leadership skills will be essential as you guide teams through complex projects, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Starship program.
