Who you are
You have a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and organization — your experience with CNC machines, particularly Okuma and Haas, has equipped you with the skills to maintain and optimize their performance effectively. You understand the importance of regular maintenance and are proactive in preventing breakdowns to extend machine life.
You are detail-oriented and capable of diagnosing and resolving machine faults promptly — your ability to recover machines from errors minimizes downtime and keeps production running smoothly. You are also comfortable operating forklifts to move equipment and materials safely around the facility.
What you'll do
As a CNC Maintenance Technician at SpaceX, you will conduct regular checks and maintenance on CNC machines in both R&D and production areas — your role is crucial in ensuring that these machines operate at optimal efficiency. You will perform scheduled maintenance weekly, which is essential for preventing breakdowns and extending the life of the machines.
You will assist with machine decommissioning and recommissioning, helping to dismantle, move, and set up machines as required by project demands or facility upgrades — your hands-on experience will be invaluable during these processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues related to machine errors or alarms, ensuring that any faults are addressed quickly to minimize production delays.
You will focus on maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment — adhering to safety regulations is paramount, and you will ensure that cleanliness is maintained around machinery while organizing tools and parts effectively.
