Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Electrician for their Starship program to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems. This role requires 3+ years of experience with electrical systems and offers the opportunity to work at a cutting-edge rocket launch facility.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 3 years of experience working with electrical systems. Your background includes repairing and replacing defective parts in electrical fixtures, as well as installing and maintaining electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. You are familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic devices and have experience performing preventative maintenance on various electronic and electrical systems.

You possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics, which allows you to perform your work efficiently. Testing electrical circuits to ensure their operability is second nature to you, and you are skilled in using test equipment like volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes. You are proactive in identifying and implementing efficient paths of action to complete your assigned work.

Desirable

Experience working at a rocket launch facility and supporting launch campaigns is a plus, as is familiarity with SpaceX electrical systems. A master electrician license would be advantageous, and you should be able to diagnose and repair various devices effectively.

What you'll do

As an Electrician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing defective parts in electrical fixtures. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic devices. Preventative repair and maintenance of field, plant, and shop electronic and electrical systems will be a key part of your role.

You will also install enhancements and major upgrades to plant electrical subsystems, ensuring that all work is performed according to architectural and code specifications. Testing wiring connections with appropriate test equipment will be essential to ensure the operability of electrical circuits. You will perform other related duties as assigned to maintain an efficient and effective work environment.
