Who you are
You are a talented individual with a self-driven attitude, ready to take on the critical role of Test Specialist on the Falcon Operations Team at SpaceX. You thrive in environments with ever-changing priorities and possess a wide range of skills that enable you to support the execution of engineering tasks effectively. Your ability to process Falcon 9 flight vehicles is essential in the pursuit of safe, rapid, and reliable rocket re-use, integration, and launch. You are detail-oriented and proactive in identifying high-risk processes and problems during flight hardware processing.
You have experience in designing and developing tools and hardware that facilitate vehicle assembly and conduct vehicle system testing. Your hands-on assembly, integration, and testing skills are complemented by your ability to develop and execute procedures for the checkout and integration of both new and flight-proven rockets and ground support equipment. You are comfortable collaborating with highly skilled field technicians and engineering staff from various departments to ensure flight readiness.
What you'll do
As a Test Specialist, you will be responsible for leading critical on-site operations while collaborating with engineering staff to resolve off-nominal test results. You will assist with and lead the hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of new and flight-proven vehicle assemblies. Your role will involve processing Falcon 9 flight vehicles, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. You will also be tasked with identifying high-risk processes and proactively implementing solutions to enhance flight readiness.
You will work closely with the Falcon Operations Team to support the execution of engineering task items that align with the Falcon Operations launch manifest. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the high standards of safety and reliability that SpaceX is known for. You will have the opportunity to develop and execute procedures that are critical to the success of rocket launches, making a significant impact on the future of space exploration.
