You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in mechanical or electrical disciplines, with experience in systems-level engineering. You are familiar with AutoCAD and other design tools that aid in the creation of manufacturing requirements. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of reliability and manufacturability in engineering design. What you'll do
As a Starship Build Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing production requirements and developing tooling and processes that enable efficient assembly of the Starship rocket. You will operate as a systems-level engineer, planning and executing the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware to meet stringent requirements. Your role will involve designing and implementing tooling solutions that eliminate assembly errors and improve overall quality. You will automate processes to ensure repeatability on a large-scale production line, proving that subsystem work centers meet cycle time requirements. Additionally, you will become a subject matter expert for various vehicle-level systems, including aero control surfaces and propulsion systems, generating and maintaining design for manufacturing requirements throughout the production process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence vehicle architecture and ensure that all components are designed for reliability and manufacturability.
