Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and over 5 years of experience in global trade compliance, particularly in export control matters. You possess a strong understanding of ITAR and EAR regulations and have a proven track record of managing compliance procedures effectively. Your ability to identify and mitigate export risks is complemented by your experience in conducting technical data reviews and jurisdiction classification exercises. You are skilled in advising internal stakeholders on U.S. export laws and have a knack for educating teams on compliance policies and procedures. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct thorough risk assessments and audits, and you are adept at developing remedial measures for compliance infractions.

What you'll do

As a Senior Global Trade Analyst at SpaceX, you will be responsible for drafting, submitting, and managing compliance with ITAR licenses and agreements, as well as EAR licenses and license exceptions. You will proactively identify and qualify export risks, compliance gaps, and emerging issues, designing and recommending effective mitigation strategies and business solutions. Your role will involve conducting technical data reviews related to U.S. export laws and supporting jurisdiction and classification exercises. You will manage compliance procedures related to U.S. export laws and identify and implement improvements to enhance compliance. Additionally, you will advise and educate internal stakeholders on U.S. export laws, including the use of ITAR and EAR authorizations, export policies, and technology controls. Conducting risk assessments and audits will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will researching U.S. federal statutes, regulations, directives, and guidance related to U.S. export laws.
