Your background includes working with PCB design and understanding the complexities of hardware systems. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to enhance product reliability.

You possess a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to identify and resolve hardware failures effectively. Your experience includes utilizing design schematics and test equipment to investigate failures and implement corrective actions. You take ownership of non-conforming products and drive root cause investigations to improve overall hardware performance.

What you'll do

As a Senior Hardware Reliability Engineer for Starshield, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our satellite hardware. You will troubleshoot and analyze hardware failures, working closely with various engineering teams to enhance the robustness of our systems. Your role will involve conducting failure investigations and implementing corrective actions to prevent future issues.

You will utilize design schematics and test equipment to identify the physics of failures, taking extreme ownership in containing suspect products. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial in driving improvements in hardware reliability and performance. You will also contribute to the development of cutting-edge R&D technology, playing a key role in SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
