Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Senior Silicon and Package Reliability Engineer to support the design engineering community in producing higher reliability EEE components and systems. You'll ensure the reliability of silicon and packaging products through testing and collaboration. This role requires expertise in reliability engineering.

Who you are

You have a strong background in reliability engineering, particularly in the context of silicon and packaging products. Your experience includes developing and implementing reliability tests, analyzing failure data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential reliability risks. You understand the importance of reliability in the design process and have a proven track record of ensuring that reliability considerations are incorporated from the outset.

You are skilled in coordinating with supply chain management to ensure that supplier products meet stringent reliability requirements. Your technical expertise allows you to develop and execute reliability tests for silicon and package products, including High Temperature Operating Life (HTOL) and Temperature Humidity Bias (THB) tests. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate closely with design teams to ensure that reliability considerations are integrated into the design process. You will coordinate with supply chain management to verify that supplier products meet our reliability standards. Your responsibilities will include the development and execution of reliability tests for silicon and package products, ensuring that they meet the necessary performance criteria. You will analyze failure data to identify trends and potential issues, working proactively to mitigate risks before they impact product performance.

You will play a critical role in supporting the design engineering community, providing insights and recommendations based on your reliability assessments. Your work will directly contribute to the success of SpaceX's Starshield program, which leverages advanced technology to support national security efforts. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and ensuring the highest standards of reliability in our products.
