What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting software systems that facilitate checkout operations across SpaceX. You will lead the design and development of new software projects, ensuring that they meet the needs of engineers and production teams. Your responsibilities will include periodically reviewing the performance and capabilities of existing tools, implementing more efficient approaches when necessary, and developing sustainable software solutions that follow an object-oriented paradigm. You will collaborate with engineers to streamline workflows, reduce risks, and eliminate recurring tasks, ultimately expediting engineering deliverables to production teams.

You will also participate in the implementation of interdisciplinary software solutions that optimize engineering time and enhance operational efficiency. Your role will involve analyzing vehicle performance against expected behavior and providing insights that drive improvements in engineering processes. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that the software you develop aligns with the company's mission of enabling human life on Mars.
