Who you are

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related discipline, and you have at least 1 year of experience in civil or structural design, analysis, construction, and drafting. You are skilled in developing and issuing drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects. Your experience includes performing civil and structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel and concrete, and you are adept at writing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines.

You have a strong understanding of the civil and structural aspects of construction projects, and you are comfortable providing direct onsite engineering inspections and field observations. You excel at resolving design and construction conflicts in real-time, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet their objectives. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with a team of elite engineers across multiple disciplines, contributing to the successful activation of launch pad infrastructure.

Desirable

Experience with aerospace projects or large-scale construction projects is a plus, as is familiarity with project management tools and methodologies. You are proactive in your approach and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all aspects of the engineering process are meticulously managed.

What you'll do

As a Structural Engineer on the Launch Pad team, you will lead the project team through the civil and structural engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process. You will develop and issue detailed drawings and design documentation, ensuring that all engineering standards are met. Your role will involve performing critical design and analysis calculations for structural components, including steel and concrete elements, to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

You will manage the civil and structural aspects of construction projects, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting onsite engineering inspections and field observations, allowing you to provide immediate feedback and resolve any conflicts that arise during construction.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will write and negotiate construction contracts with subcontractors, overseeing their work to ensure alignment with project goals. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and contractors, fostering a team environment that encourages innovation and excellence in engineering practices.
