You hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related engineering discipline. With at least 1 year of experience in civil or structural design, analysis, construction, or drafting, you have a solid foundation in the principles of structural engineering. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to perform structural design and analysis calculations effectively. Your experience may include internships or academic projects that have prepared you for real-world engineering challenges.
You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy working with a diverse group of engineers and contractors, and you are comfortable leading project teams through the structural engineering process. Your communication skills enable you to write clear and concise design documentation and reports, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll do
As a Structural Engineer on the Launch Pad development team, you will lead the project team in consulting with engineers and contractors throughout the structural engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process. You will develop and issue drawings and design documentation for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards. Your role will involve performing structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel and concrete, which are critical for the safety and functionality of the launch pad.
You will also be responsible for writing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines, guiding them through the contract close-out process. Onsite, you will provide direct engineering inspections and field observations, resolving design and construction conflicts in real-time to keep projects on track. Your ability to manage the structural aspects of construction projects will be essential in ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
