Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have experience in overseeing the build and test of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Your background includes working with production technicians and operators to resolve process deviations and support production feedback. You are skilled in developing and refining manufacturing assembly procedures and planning, ensuring that all specifications are met. You have a strong understanding of test procedures and design requirements, allowing you to perform tests independently or collaboratively with engineers.
You are proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements, and you have experience supporting anomaly investigations and working towards resolutions. Your ability to collaborate with engineering teams to develop and document test procedures is a key strength. You are also familiar with tracking, procuring, and servicing critical calibrated instrumentation and spare hardware, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
What you'll do
As an Integration & Test Specialist at SpaceX, you will oversee the build and test of various subassemblies, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. You will assist in the maintenance and further development of test fixtures, setups, and stands used in production and development. Your role will involve supporting the disposition of non-conforming hardware on the production floor, driving root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop and document comprehensive test procedures, ensuring that all testing aligns with design requirements.
You will work directly with production technicians and operators to resolve any process deviations and provide support based on production feedback. Your responsibilities will also include fabricating or building mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems according to defined specifications. You will create and perform asset maintenance plans on instrumentation, including DAQ hardware, wire harnesses, and electrical systems, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Your contributions will be vital in supporting the overall mission of SpaceX to enable human life on Mars.
