Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in designing and building systems for testing fluid and mechanical components. Your experience includes working with high-pressure gas and cryogenic systems, and you are comfortable with hands-on engineering tasks. You possess proficiency in AutoCAD, C, C++, and Python, which you have used to develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for analyzing complex systems, ensuring that all components function seamlessly together. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects from conception to completion. You are eager to take on challenges and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking aerospace technology.

Desirable

Experience with rocket propulsion systems or similar high-stakes engineering projects would be a plus. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies can enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As a Test Stand Design & Build Engineer at SpaceX, you will analyze, design, and build systems that support the testing of fully integrated flight vehicles and individual rocket engines. You will drive cradle-to-grave ownership of engineering projects, overseeing everything from design reviews to equipment procurement. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineers to ensure that the test stands meet the rigorous demands of rocket testing. You will be responsible for modifying and maintaining existing systems, ensuring they are always ready for the next test. You will also engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving during testing phases, applying your engineering expertise to address any issues that arise. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SpaceX's ambitious missions, including the development of the Starship and Falcon rockets.
