You have extensive experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering, particularly in the realm of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) — your background includes leading design transfers and ensuring robust manufacturing processes. You possess deep expertise in PCBA manufacturing and surface mount technology (SMT) processes, which allows you to effectively bridge the gap between design and production.

Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to work cross-functionally with hardware design, test, manufacturing, and quality teams — you understand the importance of collaboration in driving smooth product introductions. You are detail-oriented and have a strong focus on establishing world-class manufacturing practices for PCBAs and electronics modules.

What you'll do

As a Staff NPI Engineer at SPAN, you will lead the design transfer of our electronics hardware into production — your role will involve collaborating closely with various teams to ensure that products are ready for market. You will own the technical interface with our contract manufacturers, ensuring that robust processes are in place for high-yield, scalable, and cost-effective builds.

You will be responsible for driving smooth product introductions, which includes ensuring that all designs meet DFM and DFT readiness standards — your expertise will help establish best practices in manufacturing that enhance product quality and reliability. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing electronic assembly and test development processes.
