Who you are
You have a strong background in evaluating early-stage startups and a passion for engaging with innovative businesses. Your experience includes conducting detailed business and financial due diligence, and you are adept at identifying market trends and sector opportunities. You thrive in collaborative environments, leveraging both internal and external resources to support portfolio companies effectively. You possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to assess investment materials critically and lead deal processes with confidence.
You are familiar with various sectors, including AI/ML, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Infrastructure, and you understand the nuances of investing in these rapidly evolving fields. Your ability to collaborate with technical teams allows you to provide high-touch support to portfolio companies, enhancing their growth potential. You are driven by data and understand how to leverage market research to inform investment decisions.
Desirable
Experience in venture capital or growth investing is a plus, as is familiarity with financial modeling and market analysis tools. A background in technology or finance can further enhance your ability to evaluate investment opportunities effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will evaluate new investment opportunities by conducting thorough research and analysis. You will lead the diligence process, engaging with potential companies to assess their business models and financial health. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and managing portfolio company performance, ensuring they meet growth targets and operational benchmarks. You will collaborate closely with Squarepoint’s technical teams to deliver value-added initiatives that support portfolio companies in their R&D and go-to-market strategies.
You will also be responsible for identifying market trends and sector developments, providing insights that inform investment strategies. Your role will involve leading deal processes from initial screening to final investment decisions, ensuring that all aspects of diligence are meticulously handled. You will leverage your analytical skills to create financial models that project company performance and assess potential returns on investment.
