Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a similar discipline, and up to 4 years of experience in a similar environment. Your experience with Linux is solid, and you have administered RDBMS systems such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL. You are comfortable programming or scripting in one or more languages, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Your familiarity with Kubernetes, GitLab, Prometheus, and Ansible, along with an understanding of CI/CD concepts, sets you apart. You possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a global team. You are eager to continuously learn new technologies and thrive under pressure.
What you'll do
As a Trading Infrastructure Specialist at Squarepoint, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and stability of our trading services across the cloud and our own data centers. You will work alongside a global team of exceptional technologists, engaging with compute hardware, infrastructure applications, and networks and telecom technologies. Your role will involve the timely identification and analysis of infrastructure failures, acting as the crucial first line of defense. You will be involved across a wide range of technology infrastructure, including computational hardware and storage, operating systems, virtualization technology, real-time data streaming platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, load balancers, observability tools, and container orchestration platforms. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure automation and configuration management, utilizing tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
