Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong quantitative background, ideally with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Physics. Your programming proficiency includes at least one major programming or scripting language such as C++, Java, or Python, allowing you to effectively analyze large data sets and implement trading strategies. You possess strong communication skills and can collaborate well with colleagues across multiple regions, thriving under pressure while developing and implementing systematic strategies.
What you'll do
In this role, your primary focus will be on researching and implementing trading ideas within the firm’s automated trading framework. Before market open, you will ensure that all required data and related processes are ready for the trading day. During market hours, you will sporadically monitor the behavior and performance of strategies, making adjustments as necessary based on your analysis. You will leverage your understanding of market structures across various exchanges and asset classes to identify trading opportunities effectively.
What we offer
Squarepoint Capital offers a competitive base salary starting at $150,000 for candidates located in New York, with the potential for discretionary bonuses that could significantly enhance total compensation.
