Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on creating user-friendly interfaces that enhance customer experiences. Your background includes a solid understanding of JavaScript development, particularly with ES6 concepts, and proficiency in modern frameworks like React or Angular. You are motivated by the desire to solve complex web challenges and have a keen eye for design, ensuring that the interfaces you create are not only functional but also a pleasure to use.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and designers to deliver customer-focused experiences. Your experience includes mentoring junior team members, helping them grow their skills while contributing to team standards and best practices. You are passionate about disciplined software engineering, including automated testing and code reviews, and you take pride in writing beautiful, readable code.

Desirable

Experience with additional frontend technologies and frameworks will be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems like Git. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving needs of the team and the product.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take a lead position in developing new features for the Squarespace interface, specifically for the Acuity Scheduling platform. You will collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure that the product meets the needs of appointment-based businesses, allowing them to streamline their scheduling processes. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience, making it easier for clients to manage their appointments and focus on their core services.

You will keep the product updated with the latest frontend technologies, ensuring that it remains competitive and user-friendly. Your role will involve practicing disciplined software engineering, which includes writing tests, conducting code reviews, and maintaining high standards of code quality. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop their skills.
