You have a strong background in backend engineering with a focus on data systems — your experience includes leading teams and managing complex data workflows. You are proficient in programming languages such as Go and Ruby on Rails, and you have hands-on experience with various databases and data processing technologies. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can leverage your technical skills to drive impactful results.
Your expertise extends to working with real-time data systems and you understand the intricacies of handling large volumes of data efficiently. You are comfortable with technologies like Aerospike, Redis, and Elasticsearch, and you have a solid grasp of data warehousing solutions such as Redshift and ScyllaDB. You are also familiar with message brokers like Kafka and have experience implementing GraphQL APIs.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can navigate challenges that arise in high-demand environments. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that you can translate technical requirements into actionable tasks. You are open to experimenting with new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
Desirable

What you'll do
As a Lead Engineer at StackAdapt, you will spearhead the backend engineering team, focusing on data export and data warehousing initiatives. You will design and implement scalable backend services that support the company's real-time advertising bidding system, which processes millions of requests per second. Your role will involve optimizing data storage solutions and ensuring data integrity across various platforms.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define system requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. You will also be tasked with evaluating and integrating new technologies that can enhance the performance and scalability of the StackAdapt platform.
In addition to technical leadership, you will play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to backend architecture and data management. You will ensure that the systems you build are robust, efficient, and capable of handling the growing demands of the business.
