Who you are

You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in data quality and analytics. As a working student, you are eager to learn and contribute to the Quality team at Statista. You have a foundational understanding of SQL and are comfortable working with data validation processes. You thrive in collaborative environments and are excited to engage with Quality Engineers and Managers to enhance data quality measures. Your analytical mindset allows you to detect anomalies and document findings effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will join the Quality team to monitor the department's data quality by maintaining and enhancing validation scripts. You will work closely with Quality Engineers and Quality Managers to define and develop new quality measures. Your responsibilities will include preparing inputs and validating outputs for LLM-based analyses, as well as conducting various quality assurance rounds. You will generate summary statistics to monitor data flows, detect anomalies such as missing values and column mismatches, and document your findings for the team and stakeholders. Additionally, you will contribute to refactoring and maintenance efforts by improving code readability, adding logging, and handling edge cases.
