With experience in environments that utilize modern technologies, you are well-versed in AWS and Azure, and have a strong command of TypeScript, Node.js, and React. Your technical expertise allows you to own and champion the development process of web-based applications, ensuring coding standards and best practices are followed. You are adept at identifying opportunities to eliminate non-value add activities, enabling your developers to focus on what they love best — developing.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD practices and familiarity with tools like Jira and GitHub will be beneficial. A background in SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB, will enhance your ability to lead the team effectively.

What you'll do

As the Senior Engineering Manager for Storable's Marine division, you will be responsible for growing and mentoring a high-performing software development team. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, issue tracking, and incident management. Your leadership will be crucial in building a culture of continuous improvement and productivity within the team.

You will work closely with your team to develop and maintain software that assists operators with bookings, work orders, point of sale, and customer management. Your role will involve not just technical oversight but also strategic planning to align the team's efforts with Storable's long-term technology goals. You will champion the development process, ensuring that your team is equipped to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
