Who you are
As a recent graduate, you are eager to start your career in security engineering and have a foundational understanding of security concepts. You are familiar with the OWASP Top 10 web application vulnerabilities and have basic knowledge of SQL, enabling you to analyze medium to large data sets effectively. Your exposure to cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform gives you a solid base to build upon. You possess an adversarial mindset, understanding the goals, behaviors, and tactics of threat actors, which will help you in identifying and mitigating security risks.
Desirable
While not required, any additional experience with threat detection or incident response will be beneficial. Familiarity with security tools and platforms will also enhance your application. You are a quick learner, ready to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the security domain.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be on the front lines of engineering solutions that protect sensitive data and systems. You will contribute to core security functions, including threat detection and rapid incident response, ensuring that Stripe's financial infrastructure remains secure. Your responsibilities will include building and scaling platforms that manage vulnerabilities, as well as proactively performing offensive security assessments to identify weaknesses before they can be exploited. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and learn how to operate reliable systems while receiving adequate support when challenges arise.
