Job Description
Who you are
You have over 6 years of experience as a Project Manager, leading large-scale system development projects with teams of 500+ members across multiple sites. Your ability to discover and analyze client challenges through interviews and data analysis allows you to translate requirements effectively into actionable plans. You possess strong communication skills that enable you to engage stakeholders and drive project momentum, ensuring that development projects are executed with ownership and precision. Your experience includes collaborating closely with development engineers to launch features successfully, demonstrating your technical understanding and project leadership.
You are fluent in Japanese at a native level and currently reside in Japan, which is essential for engaging with clients nationwide. Your intellectual curiosity drives you to explore innovative solutions, and you thrive in environments that allow for autonomy and cross-functional collaboration. You are open-minded and provide constructive feedback, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Desirable
Experience as a software engineer or in B2B software development, particularly in SaaS, is a plus. You have a background in data modeling, Web API design, and development, which enhances your project management capabilities. Leading new business initiatives and product development involving external vendors or partner companies is something you have done successfully in the past.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take full responsibility for the delivery process of products using the Tailor Platform, collaborating with Tech Leads, UX Designers, and Developers. You will create and manage the project roadmap, define requirements, and oversee sprint operations to ensure timely delivery. Your role will involve preparing and organizing client-facing meeting materials, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
You will utilize various middleware technologies such as Cloud Pub/Sub, MongoDB, and Cloud Storage, along with tools like Docker and Terraform for environment setup. Your programming skills in TypeScript, GO, and frameworks like Next.js and Playwright will be instrumental in understanding the technical aspects of the projects you manage. You will also be responsible for monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments to meet client expectations and project goals.

At Tailor, we offer a competitive salary range for Project Managers between 9,000,000 and 15,000,000 JPY, with Senior Project Managers earning between 12,000,000 and 20,000,000 JPY.
