You are a qualified attorney with a JD and significant experience in commercial law, particularly in the technology or fintech sectors. You have a strong understanding of contract negotiation and compliance management, ensuring that all agreements align with regulatory standards. Your background includes advising on privacy laws and financial services regulations, making you well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the legal landscape in the Americas.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with sales and product teams to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business strategies. Your ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner allows you to effectively partner with various stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.

Desirable

Experience working with global banks and fintech companies is a plus, as is familiarity with SaaS agreements and data protection laws. You are proactive in identifying potential legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, demonstrating your commitment to supporting the company's mission.

What you'll do

As the first US-based legal hire at Taktile, you will own the end-to-end sales contract lifecycle for the Americas, drafting and negotiating high-stakes Master Service Agreements (MSAs), SaaS agreements, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). You will play a crucial role in building the legal operations framework that will support the company's growth for years to come.

You will lead the legal strategy for Taktile's reseller and partner ecosystem, ensuring that all indirect sales channels are compliant and robust. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing and negotiating key vendor and technology agreements, as well as advising on US privacy laws and financial services requirements such as FCRA, ECOA, GLBA, and AML/BSA.

Additionally, you will coordinate with Taktile's German headquarters regarding intellectual property licensing and intercompany agreements, bridging the Atlantic to ensure alignment across the organization. Your role will involve creating playbooks and self-service tools for the go-to-market team, enhancing efficiency and compliance in the sales process.
