You are a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial law, ideally with a focus on technology or subscription-based business models. You have a strong understanding of commercial transactions and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance that aligns with business objectives. Your collaborative approach enables you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business strategies. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-legal stakeholders.
You are adept at navigating the complexities of commercial contracting practices and have a proven track record of shaping and scaling legal processes. Your experience includes working with automation and AI-enabled solutions to enhance legal operations, demonstrating your commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality legal support.
What you'll do
In your role as Senior Counsel, Commercial, you will provide sophisticated legal support for Zuora's Go-To-Market organization, enabling revenue growth at scale. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, ensuring that they align with the company's business objectives and risk management strategies. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to understand their needs and provide timely legal advice that facilitates business operations.
You will also play a key role in modernizing Zuora's legal practices, focusing on process design and automation to improve efficiency. This includes implementing AI-enabled solutions that streamline contract management and enhance the overall effectiveness of the legal team. Your strategic insights will help shape the company's approach to commercial transactions, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
What we offer
Zuora offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $197,200 to $271,150 USD, along with additional elements such as bonus opportunities and equity.
