Who you are
You are an entry-level Data Platform Engineer with a foundational understanding of data engineering principles and practices. You have experience with AWS and are comfortable working with Python and SQL to manage and manipulate data. You are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment, contributing to the development of data infrastructure that supports various teams.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and are able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about leveraging data to drive business decisions and improve processes. You thrive in a remote-first culture and are excited about the opportunity to work with a diverse team across different regions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will assist in setting up and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analytics Engineers. You will collaborate with these internal clients to understand their data needs and help implement solutions that enhance their workflows. You will also contribute to the adoption of the Event-Driven Data Mesh paradigm, advising backend and frontend teams on best practices.
You will be responsible for ensuring data quality and availability, working on data pipelines, and supporting the integration of various data sources. Your contributions will help Tala deliver personalized financial solutions to customers across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and grow your skills in a supportive environment.
