Tala is hiring a Global Telephony Engineer to maintain high quality and availability for all voice systems. You'll work with Cisco and PBX technologies to support architecture tasks and collaborate with Operations. This position requires expertise in VoIP systems.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in telephony systems, particularly with PBX and VoIP technologies. Your experience includes maintaining high availability for voice systems and ensuring seamless communication across platforms. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to strategize and implement unified communications solutions.
You possess a deep understanding of network connectivity and related hardware, ensuring that all telephony systems operate efficiently. Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that enhance system performance. You are proactive in identifying potential problems and addressing them before they impact operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and availability of all voice systems at Tala. This includes overseeing the architecture of telephony systems and ensuring that PBX servers and softphones are functioning optimally. You will collaborate closely with Operations and Shared Services teams to develop and implement a unified communications platform that meets the needs of the organization.
You will also be tasked with monitoring network connectivity and related hardware to ensure that all telephony systems are running smoothly. Your role will involve troubleshooting any issues that arise and working to resolve them quickly to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic discussions about future telephony needs and enhancements, leveraging your expertise to guide decision-making.
